SafetyNet - SIL 2 Safety Solutions Request Information

The Safety Logic Workbench uses the same programming environment as the standard Process Control workbench. The Workbench is used to develop, download, simulate, debug, monitor and edit application programs. SIL 2 control applications are developed in the Safety Logic Workbench, using one of 3 IEC61131-3 programming languages:

•  Ladder Diagram,

•  Function Block Diagram and

•  Structured Text.

Safety control programs are downloaded to the logic solvers, which can only run applications developed in one of the above 3 approved IEC 61131-3 programming languages.

Validation & Verification Software

The SafetyNet features both an:

•  IEC 61131-3 Integrity Analyzer and

•  IEC 61131-3 Cross Reference Analyzer.

The Integrity Analyzer identifies possible source and compiled IEC 61131-3 application errors. It significantly reduces the time spent in reviewing software and reduces the risk of error, making software development more efficient.

The Cross Reference Analyzer identifies any modified programs, user functions, and user function blocks, and any I/O parameter changes and produces a detailed report showing a summary of changes, usage statistics and data dependency details for quick analysis. Software review and testing can focus on these areas, reducing both the risk that errors have been introduced and the programming time and effort required.

These productivity tools assure rapid development and debugging of software and can save weeks of program development time and assure that the application is safe before downloading it to the Safety Controller.
