Firmware on MTL 8521 Hybrid Controller

Hello,

I have some MTL 8521 hybrid controllers and recently applied the firmware upgrade that came with the workbench v8.0 to them all. I have now been asked to see if we can remove the upgrade from one of the contollers to keep an old version as a contingency. Is it possible to undo the firmware upgrades, if so how? Otherwise, is it possible to reset the PLC to its factory settings and I'll re-download the strategies?

Hello,

There is a procedure for rolling back firmware that would best be explained over the phone. If you would like this procedure feel free to give us a call at 888-334-3293. A controller can be brought up in a factory default mode (aka BootP Mode) by holding down the "Change State" button while applying power although this mode does not roll back firmware (Only Running Logic, IP Addressing, etc.).
